Siempre he pensado que los valores del deporte son un ejemplo a seguir por cualquier persona, durante cualquier etapa de su vida, fuere cual fuere su situación u ocupación, y también por los políticos.
Si preguntamos en la calle por la opinión que la gente tiene de éstos, la respuesta no es buena: todos iguales, falsos, orgullosos, prepotentes, solo van a lo suyo... vamos, lo peor de lo peor.
Pero la realidad es que somos una inmensa mayoría quienes entendemos la política como una vocación de servicio a la sociedad. En muchos casos fuente de preocupaciones y de sinsabores pero también de orgullo y de satisfacciones cuando conseguimos hacer más fácil, mejorar la vida de las personas.
En el Ayuntamiento de Irun, en este sentido cerramos -me atrevo a decir-, un buen año.
Si bien a todos los Grupos Políticos se nos supone un plan propio, único y por supuesto incompatible con cualquier otro para hacer un Irun insuperable, la pandemia -situación sobrevenida con la que nadie contaba- nos hizo ver las cosas de otra manera si queríamos salir adelante. Teníamos que ir juntos.
